Joe Jackson Drops Wrongful Death Suit Against Conrad Murray!
*I am shocked!* Michael Jackson's, "doctor", Conrad Murray, has one less thing to worry about. Joe Jackson, the father of the deceased pop singer Michael Jackson, has dropped his wrongful death lawsuit against Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for the musician's death. In a court document filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday and obtained by TheWrap, Jackson asks that the suit be dismissed without prejudice. The elder Jackson brought the suit in June 2010, a year after his son's death at the age of 50, asking for unspecified damages and a jury trial. It is unclear why Jackson decided to drop the suit; his attorney has not yet replied to TheWrap's request for comment. However, the phrase "you can't get blood from a stone" comes to mind -- Murray is currently in jail, serving his sentence for involuntary manslaughter. Murray was found guilty of causing Jackson's death last year. The singer died of acute propofol intoxication. Murray admitted to administering the anesthetic to Jackson on an almost daily basis in the weeks leading up to his death, and was found to have been negligent in treating Jackson, deviating from the standard of care on multiple fronts. |

Re: Joe Jackson Drops Wrongful Death Suit Against Conrad Murray!
Michael surrounded himself with, "yes men", as did Anna Nicole Smith and Whitney Houston. These people don't give a damn about any of their bosses and don't realize they need them alive! I felt especially bad for Anna Nicole. Fortunately, Larry Birkhead has their beautiful daughter and I hope he keeps her grounded. |

Re: Joe Jackson Drops Wrongful Death Suit Against Conrad Murray!
Do you really believe that? Why would he leave his children? The final video showed he was favoring his right leg. I cannot believe anyone who watched the same clip I did thought he was in fine condition, "like a race horse", he was described. He was emaciated and in obvious pain! I'm sure Michael had the, "doctor", give him the meds, but, he should have taken him to a hospital and monitored him properly. Murray let him die and didn't try to help him until he was done fighting with his girlfriend. Michael was not in the state of mind to be making life altering decisions, if you heard the audio tapes. Nobody thought enough of him to save him from himself. And, I'm not one of Michael's fans. Granted, he was a great talent, but, I liked him better when he was a little black boy with a nose. After Thriller, he got addicted to plastic surgery. Very sad the way he destroyed himself. Conrad, as a medical professional, should have known better. I'm sure he was paid well! |
