Some online speculation linked the killing to his Jewish heritage or alleged pro-Israel views, but no evidence supports this, and the investigation remains ongoing. On the other hand why would anyone shoot and kill a brilliant scientist like him that happens to be Jewish. Maybe a robbery gone wrong. Maybe he messed around with some woman and her bf/hubby went on a revenge tour. Maybe he was killed by a Chinese spy. All specualtions. And again the shooter fled and the cops have no clue yet. |

After doing some further research I'm not sure if he's jewish but I believe the stand with Israel sign at his house is real?

Brookline has a very large Jewish population and many residences in the neighborhood display similar signs. Authorities are currently looking into all possible angles, but they have not yet linked the shooting to a hate crime or political targeting. There has been no offical confirmation he was Jewish or that sign was in his apartment.

Massachusetts authorities say the Brown University shooter also killed the MIT nuclear scientist. His name is Claudio Neves-Valente, a 48 year old former student of Brown University and Portuguese national. He went to school with the nuclear scientist in Portugal over two decades ago. |
