Jeff Flaherty From Marriott Hotels is an Embarrassment

Jeff Flaherty, some spokesman for the Marriott Hotels chain, should really rethink his policy on letting Natalee Holloway's family search their property.

A lot of you may remember the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005, it was major news, and what threw that loser Joran van der Sloot into the spotlight. Joran was eventually convicted of murdering someone else, and most everyone is convinced he murdered Natalee as well.

Anyway while reading an article on CNN, I see that her father, Dave Holloway, wants to run some cadaver dogs over an area on one of their hotels, he has reason to suspect, after speaking to a man that called in a tip, that Natalee could be buried there. It was under construction at the time, and never searched.

Marriott Hotels seems to be standing in his way. Their spokesman, Jeff Flaherty, was quoted as saying:

As we have done all along, we cooperate fully with the authorities whenever they are conducting an official investigation.
So what he's basically saying is they will let the search go ahead, if the police request it, and it's part of an "official investigation". Yet since it's just the father asking, they brush him off.

How pathetic is that of Marriott Hotels and their spokesman Jeff Flaherty? If Natalee Holloway's father wants to bring a dog to walk around their property, do the right thing, let them. In fact, go out of your way to help them.

That man lost his daughter, something I can not even imagine, the least Marriott could do is let the man walk a dog around the property. Actually, Marriott should welcome the man with open arms and provide water and refreshments to both her father, and the dog while they search. Can the hotel not spare the fifty bucks to help the father out?

Marriott hotels and their spokesman Jeff Flaherty should be embarrassed of themselves. Do the right thing, let the father search all he wants, he's not asking a lot.

Re: Jeff Flaherty From Marriott Hotels is an Embarrassment

I have kinda followed this from day 1. Man i even searched and kept an eye open for anything when i went to Aruba 3 years ago on vacation. Ive seen all the lies and shit that Joran has said in interviews, to the undercover video of his ride in the car with his buddy. I have watched the surveillance tapes from him killing the woman at the casino and basically have tried to find every scrap of anything i can find and that's why i clicked your post. I feel if he wasnt cornered in the casino and could've gotten the body of that woman out, then it would reveal kinda what his method is to get rid of evidence and may have helped bring Natalie home. But somewhere in all of that twisted web of shit he says in the interviews and undercover tapes, some truth has to be found in what Joran has said, Surely. What do you think Chris? Like you said, Marriott guy is a POS. But my personal opinion is that she was killed and thrown into the ocean, like he confessed to his weed smoking buddy in the car video.

Re: Jeff Flaherty From Marriott Hotels is an Embarrassment

Yea, I agree, she was probably tossed away in the ocean, which sucks. My only point was that if the father wanted to search the hotel with a dog, why not let him. I don't think there is any type of conspiracy, I just think Marriott is being your typical crappy corporation, they don't want their name tied to anything with that death, so they try and brush as much as they can under the rug.

Hell, if some guy wanted to use dogs to search a business I owned, I would be all for it, I would help him. That's all I was getting at really.

For the greedy fucks, they feel like it would damper a day or more of revenue.

Cadaver dogs would appear to be drug dogs to bystanders. and it is amazing how many people utilize hotels for a night of drunken, drug fueled craziness.

Exactly Chris, he just wants to bring his daughter home. I feel so terrible for her parents 10 years later and they still have no closure.

Re: Jeff Flaherty From Marriott Hotels is an Embarrassment

How is that worth the bad publicity? How long does it take for the cadaver dogs to search?

Re: Jeff Flaherty From Marriott Hotels is an Embarrassment

Eventually, all it will take is patience. After 15-20 years, the hotel will be bulldozed for redevelopment, and I hope someone remembers and decides to do a thorough search after the hotel is down and the rubble cleared away. That would be the ideal time to scan all the ground with a cadaver dog. I really don't know if a dog walking around the finished building is going to be able to find anything. Since the building was built, there was landscaping dirt
placed and graded, cement and asphalt layed down over all the construction areas, tile, marble, and granite put down all over the interior. It could be really hard for a dog to notice anything, until, like I said, the building is removed. If she is there, then I think that eventually she will be found. It is only a matter of time.
