On July 14, Aldean released the song's music video, directed by Shaun Silva. The video features Aldean performing in front of the courthouse of Columbia, Tennessee—where the lynching of Henry Choate had also occurred in 1927—interspersed with news footage of rallies, looting, and riots directed at police officers.

CMT pulled the video from rotation after being bombarded with complaints and threats of boycotting.

The mainstream media (which is always skewed left) has been explaining to its readers/viewers why the video is so offensive, while supporters of Aldean, Country music, and free speech have been firing back on social media. There are now tee shirts being sold in support of the song.




I think the song's okay. The video is pretty cool. Hats off to the director.

Thanks for the correction (fuck you, Google Bard), but even with these lyrics I don't personally disapprove. It's not a song advocating violence, it's a song advocating punishment AGAINST violence, holding people accountable for their actions.

Agreed. I think the woketards are just as (if not more) upset about the location of the video than the lyrics.

It's an interesting location. There seems to be an assumption by woke historians that some horrible racist act happened there; but this is mostly based on a single book from the 1940s, and most of the actual details are lost to antiquity.
