The reason for the class action suit is because it might be the only recourse they legally have. See, the criminal aspect is dicey at best...that's where the "repressed memory" thing comes into play. Some of these ladies have tried to go public before, but were shot down in some way...so the repressed memory defense might not work for everyone. Hence the civil class action suit. It's going to be the only way they'll get justice short of killing the son of a bitch...our society frowns on retaliation murders somewhat...unfortunately. It probably isn't really about the money...it's the only recourse they have left.

Apparently there is talk about a class action lawsuit against him from the 'ladies' making the accusations.

Financial gain is a good motivator.

There is probably some truth to the accusations, but I am sure that some of these fine 'ladies', had something to gain by sleeping with him.

Apparently, one of these 'fine ladies', Louisa Moritz, came up with the idea of a class action suit and is going to try and work around the statute of limitations by claiming a "repressed memory" of her incident with him (if it's within a year of the memory returning to her, he can be sued regardless of the statue - who knew?).

Of course she did.. "repressed memory"

Half of the accusers already went public with their claims years ago but got thrown out. If it's about a civil suit, I'm think it's just about cashing in even more..

All were criminal charges I believe but not positive..

It won't matter, but a class action brings less fragmented evidence and confusion to a judge or jury. It also means that team of attorneys and investigators will work on the case and present it in one location/state. A class action has more resources available for the defendants and projects more power. You might as well forget about any type of criminal action. This case will take years, if not decades, to work it's way through the civil court system. Quite seriously, many of the women and/or Bill Cosby could be dead before this case is finished...in which case, his estate will have to pay up if he loses.
