Re: J. Crew Faces Backlash Over New Size 000
I've dated two girls who were able to wear kids' clothes, and neither one of them were stick figures. So I guess women are like penises in that it's more about the girth than the length. |

Re: J. Crew Faces Backlash Over New Size 000
If these women can't think for themselves, then that's their problem. J. Crew is obviously offering this size to small petite women who actually need a 000 size. That's like getting offended at fat sizes saying they make women want to be fat. |

Re: J. Crew Faces Backlash Over New Size 000
I've always been thin, but with my Crohn's always flaring up, I can't seem to put on a significant amount of weight. I can wear a 00, I didn't even know they made that size until about a year ago, but it felt so wrong. I felt like 12 yr old boys should be wearing them. I'll keep with my 0's and make a new hole in my belt. |

Also, if you truly are that short and that thin, you'll have to get all your clothes tailored. My MIL is Japanese and at 4'11" she has to take everything in, even the crap that stores bend over backwards to tell her is for her specific size. |

Re: J. Crew Faces Backlash Over New Size 000
i dont think they would create a 'new size' for people to start filling in the future... they likely have a demand for that size now. the image of beauty we have in our culture is disgusting from nearly every angle (and the social pressure to look a certain way is just as bad for men as it is for women. people like to say the pressure is more for women but they forget that our boys are inundated with idealistic and unrealistic body types as well like every Marvel superhero, G. I. Joe, Channing Tatum, David Beckham... the male models that stand next to the same, unrealistic looking female models) but still, people love it.... so let them. nobody is being forced to wear a size 000. the pressure to look a certain way is really all internal when you look at it. i mean, yes, the images are constantly shoved down our throats... but there's a solution. ignore it, turn your tv off, learn to love yourself and move on. |
