I wouldn't put this on SRO's. Maybe I'm biased but I know several good ones and my girlfriend is also one. 9 times out of 10 it falls on failure of the school/school board.

I should specify I mean School Resource Officers, as in sworn law enforcement- specifically trained and tasked to deal school related bullshit. There’s lots of talk about arming teachers and other half measures, but an announced LE presence on grounds at all times is an actual deterrent. Even the most tactically sound teachers will be overshadowed by the one who does something irresponsible with their weapon.
