The unfortunate thing about the executions was that the accused had already spent 10 years in jail, and in that time showed positive signs of full rehabilitation. Both gave council to other drug traffickers or drug users about the negative impact drugs had on their lives and all concerned. Chan even became a minister. Murderers have done less time. But they were ultimately killed by firing squad because of a flawed and corrupt political system. The Australian Federal Police (AFP) have played a major part in securing both Chan and Sukumaran's death warrants. What was a tip-off to the AFP by a concerned parent, led to the AFP tipping off their Indonesian counterparts only after the Bali Nine had left Sydney airport and landed overseas in a country where they knew full well that the death penalty would result. Tony Abbott the budgie-smuggler! Yeah Heroin is bullshit! Opium has been around for who-knows-when and Morphine an essential drug for excruciating pain relief in the medical field, but all essentially the same animal to a process. It's unfortunate that greed and addiction taints purer intention. Remember Mandrax? That was meant to subdue and relax, only a few of us knew what happened there. Society is to blame.  |

Its similar to me burning down some random houses and then spending 10 years being sorry and telling others not to do what I did. Damage is done. I didn't care who was hurt or killed. I'm sorry now, so I should go free. I won't do it again. People were hurt and killed and many other lives damaged, due to my actions. Tough luck, my life is forfeit. Same goes for if I was a drug dealer. Causing so much damage and chaos for the dollar. |
