My take on it would be that he leeched off of the poorest people that lived in that shanty town whilst he lived like a king in the more affluent parts of Pune. I hazard a guess at that's what caused his death. It's just a theory of course Morbid...

I dunno about that...doesnt seem like a wise business move to lend money to people in shanty towns... I would suspect he treated the lower castes like servants or ghosts. Flaunting your wealth in front of those with no chance to attain their own is enough to piss people off. Just sayin'
