Re: Indiana Man Mauled to Death by His Pit Bull on Christmas Day
wonder why she now says there was nothing wrong with the dog while in the official police report she told something completely different. Saw a clip where she's telling about the loss of her husband and about the dog but she doesn't seem to show much grief at all, even smiling |

Re: Indiana Man Mauled to Death by His Pit Bull on Christmas Day
As long as it killed the owner, I'm fine with it. If anyone is going to be injured or killed, it should be the owner. "Oh, no. He doesn't bite. And he's very gentle with children." |

Re: Indiana Man Mauled to Death by His Pit Bull on Christmas Day
There is no such thing as a bad dog. There are only bad humans. A Jack Russell Terrier may kill your cat, your kid's hamster, and your neighbor's chickens. My Pit Bull will only lick you to death. Pit Bulls get a bad rap. The Pit Bull attacked because it was probably abused. Golden Retrievers are more likely to bite than Pit Bulls. Punish The Deed not the Breed. |

Pit Bulls are more aggressive, people can point to factors, but in the end the fact remains they are more aggressive. As your 60% figure clearly shows.

Re: Indiana Man Mauled to Death by His Pit Bull on Christmas Day
So your response to a pit killing his owner a couple days ago is to search through history to find examples of other breeds attacking people? For what purpose? To make the argument that Labradors are just as violent? The facts show otherwise. I used to date a girl who worked at the humane society and later at a private animal hospital. She told me it was the humane society's policy to put Pit Bulls through safety evaluations twice because of the number of times they've had Pit Bulls bite or attempt to bite. She said unlike other dogs Pits would not be aggressive one day, and the next day try and take someone's hand off. And 5 minutes after they tried to bite someone they would behave friendly again. Point being they, a origination that deals with all dogs, had to develop extra measures to deal with a specific breed. Because they had experienced that breed was more unpredictable, and aggressive. |

Re: Indiana Man Mauled to Death by His Pit Bull on Christmas Day
Nobody is saying All pits are bad dogs. I'm sure there's much more friendly pits than mean ones. But you shouldn't just ignore they are more likely to attack a person. That's just a fact. And contrary to what's being said, it's not always because of their owner. Many times its just because a person they don't know or like is on their territory. |

Re: Indiana Man Mauled to Death by His Pit Bull on Christmas Day
Too much interbreeding produces a mutant animal with a proclivity towards unpredictable behaviour. Its like walking around with a loaded gun with the safety off. These breeds serve no other purpose than to be a macho "badge of honour" for their moronic owners. You reap what you sow.

Re: Indiana Man Mauled to Death by His Pit Bull on Christmas Day
This is because of who owns and buys these dogs. You get the scum buying them because they are "tough" and "mean" dogs and then train them to fight or defend a property when they have 0 fucking clue how to really train a dog never mind to attack and defend. A pit with a proper owner is like any other dog. |
