I think this is a classic case of a kid regurgitating what her parents think. Which is backwards.

I find it disgusting that people can still be so close-minded. If a person feels a certain way, they can't help it. Until you're in that person's shoes, STFU about how they should be or how they should fit into society. |

Yes! I am shocked at how hateful she is, almost seems like a sociopath!! She said that TG kids are gonna harm them? Evil. Hateful, racist and evil. That is what she is.

The comments under the story on that site are very heartwarming. My favorite being "this means I'll be buying a shitload of cookies that I'll never eat"

Actually this one wins the internet as far as comments go: Lydia Stewart 4:30 PM on January 12, 2012 I'd like to remind this girl and anyone else reading that when Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts in 1912, it was to the general shock and horror of the social elite. Who ever thought of girls learning to be independent thinkers? Going out into nature? Gasp! They should be at home sewing...if you give them ideas, then they may even want the vote! Juliette was a forward thinker, a visionary, and a courageous woman who was not afraid to stand up and challenge the social norms. She did this, not because she, as this girl puts "cares more about promoting the desires of a small handful of people than it does for my safety and the safety of my friends and sister Girl Scouts". Juliette founded the Girl scouts to GIVE WOMEN A VOICE. To empower a part of society that was marginalized, mistreated, and silenced. She did so at great peril to her social standing, religious upbringing, and family expectations. Were she alive today, i think she would strip the badges off of this girl's vest and remind her of the oath she had to take when first bridging to brownies. This behavior is anything but honest, respectful, courageous, and it is definitely not sisterly. After 13 years as a Girl Scout, I am proud to support any organization that includes and supports those whose unconventional position in society means they are lacking friends and a voice. To be a sister and friend, unconditionally to those in need. That is what girl scouting has taught me...and I might add, that is also what Jesus teaches. |

ok so there is girl scouts, boy scouts, may as well start a group called transgender scouts. could also start the YTCA ("it's gay to stay at the YTCA!" by the Village Transgenders). Catholic Treansgenders Schools run by transgender nuns and a transgender priest... Miss Transgender America, Mr Transgender America. well you know how it goes, its a transgender thing.
