Re: Huge Fire in block of Flats London
Time to get rid of these after the war tower blocks from the 50's n 60's and 70's they are just to old and really should of been demolished 10 years back 10 million spent on making a tower block blend into the surrounding rich folk area has know just turned one of them into a plastic & foam furnace Nobody should have to live in these deathtraps in the 21st century

Re: Huge Fire in block of Flats London
This apartment complex wasn't for the disadvantaged at all. I checked the rentals, and there was a 2 bedroom available on the 10th floor, for about 3200 lbs., which would be about $5000. U.S per month. They look very nice, very upscale. And NO PARKING AT ALL for that price. You can tell it's London. Of course, they don't look so nice now. You could probably rent the same apartment now for $50 per month. |

Re: Huge Fire in block of Flats London
In London rents are HUGE even in social housing. The one you quote is almost certainly a private landlord trying to rake it in!

Re: Huge Fire in block of Flats London
Those are just London prices. These people were not well off and likely spent a hugely disproportionate amount on their rent.

Re: Huge Fire in block of Flats London
i found this very interesting reading and i have to agree with her. May was very quick off the mark to announce a public inquiry, all government led and no one gets to ask questions http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...-a7792891.html |
