Re: High School Security Guard Dies After Breaking Up Fight
I don't know about murder charges. they need to be charged with something and face a serious punishment. maybe something like involuntary manslaughter, or a combination of other lower charges might be more appropriate. they certainly didn't think a fight would cause a guy to die and in court a charge of murder would never stick.

Re: High School Security Guard Dies After Breaking Up Fight
Teens are getting so crazy. The high school I went to just had a fight there where 5 people were injured and taken to a hospital. One of the people was a teacher and one was a security guard/cop. I guess it had something to do with the fact that another local high school had a bomb scare and half the students were sent to Rich South (where I went) and the other to Rich East. The school with the bomb threat was Rich Central. South is located in Richton Park, IL. My friend lives a few blocks from South and said there were news helicopters overhead for hours. My 15 year old cousin who attends South right now said the first day the Central students were there, after school a bunch of kids were jumping on cars and what not trying to incite fights. And the students were just told the Central kids will be there through the rest of the week.

Re: High School Security Guard Dies After Breaking Up Fight
I'm not sure what I think their punishment should be. It doesn't seem like they directly contributed to his death. For all we know he could have died that day even if there wasn't a fight. There should be some punishment though.
