I'm surprised the rescuers approach these animals with no gloves. No matter what most of the animals went through, they sense these people are trying to help them and most respond well.

I don't like some of the stupid testing they do in NY. You don't put you're hand in front of a starved dog while he or she is eating and assume he or she is hostile. Fortunately, any dogs I've dealt with licked their plates clean and didn't care if you removed it.
