Re: 'Handcuffed Black Youth Shot Himself to Death, Says Coroner' Bizarre 'Suicide'
I'm seeing that I'm missing some of the previous posts. I'm not really committed to this, at the moment, so I will have to go back and re-read the posts above. |

Re: 'Handcuffed Black Youth Shot Himself to Death, Says Coroner' Bizarre 'Suicide'
For 30+ years I used a NAA .22 LR single action revolver hidden in my pocket as a hideout gun. I never used .22 hollow points because they're such tiny little bullets going out a very tiny little barrel that the hollow point usually wouldn't expand sufficiently. The .22 hollow points going out of the little revolver would greatly reduce penetration...which I thought was more important than wound channel size. I always used a very hard bullet with a powder load closer to that of a magnum...if that had even existed. That little gun was designed only to be used for contact shots in very vulnerable body locations (ie, eyes, mouth, ears, throat/neck, groin, etc.). I always thought the .22 LR was more powerful (faster) than The .25 cal and far easier to deep conceal.

i completely agree. if i were going to go that small, i would just run CCI hollow points through a small .22 (like one of those sweet little taurus' with the pop-up barrels).
