Good Ole' Mother Russia

Russians dont need to go head-to-head to make their point on US foreign policy and aggression.

They just send their most advanced anti-air ships to the region and sell top of the line military hardware to bolster Assad's forces.

I for one welcome it. If that is going to be the only thing that makes the US back down because they will lose a lot of people over this, then so be it.

Re: Good Ole' Mother Russia

There are contracts signed in 2007 between Russia and Syria for the P-800 Oniks (Yakhont): they had already 72 of them (along with 2 Bastion-P, the Coast mobile missile system).
But about four months ago Russia delivered to Syria a more advanced version of them, equipped with a radar system that makes them more effective, Israel targeted them with some strikes, but did not succeed in destroying them all. It's definitely a formidable weapon to be taken very seriously, but the article sounds a little bit paranoid to me, i don't think that "we could easily see footage of destroyed U.S. naval vessels sinking into the Mediterranean Sea on the evening news", but i may be wrong.

Putin is going to replace whatever is destroyed by the US and send over missile defense shields.

Re: Good Ole' Mother Russia

So in short it's going to be a testing ground to see who has better weapons. The Russians or the U.S.
