Irresponsible owners are the problem - not the breed of dog in their hands. Weather it's a ditzy housewife that knows nothing about dog behavior and thinks they can treat their dog like a human child, thinking THAT is good ownership - or the drug dealer who doesn't know anything about dog behavior and thinks he knows how to train a guard dog, then lets it run loose in the neighborhood. There's a whole spectrum of idiots between the two. The point is, there are too many people who know little to nothing about dogs and way too many of those people have dogs.

Incidents will always happen where humans and animals are concerned.

If you took all the Pit Bulls and got rid of them, the idiots would replace them with another breed and the same thing would happen.
