She lived in the same small town I live - everybody knew what was going on but no one ever said something. They moved away from here but the shit he did to her continued. They even made a little memorial side for her at the Park she used to hang out all the time - she'd be there as often as she could so she didn't have to be home - some Shitheads vandalized that memorial side a couple of days ago. Sad story and even more sad that nobody ever tried to help her.

If she wasn't locked in a room, then she had plenty of chances to get the hell out of there. A lot of this was her choice. Sometimes people choose abuse over the unknown/running away/homelessness. It often ends up bad. You have to be strong enough to fight for the change to happen.  |

....because she stayed. Was she 14 when it started? That's old enough to have somewhat of a head on your shoulders, if you're ever going to have one. She was able to go to school and be in public, alone. Some people will never run, even when they know what's coming. It's a weird trait, but seems to be quite common.  |

No one really knows the extent of the practice of incest since it is such a taboo subject. It is more common than most people think, though it doesn't usually lead to murder. I knew a guy who had several sisters that had kids fathered by his/their own father. |
