It didn't matter to them that the doctors had very legitimate reasons for denying this asshole the heart in the first place; to them, he was turned down simply because he was black. So in their minds, they're happy that this asshole got another 2 years of life at the expense of the racist white institution of modern medicine and quite possibly at the expense of the life of a white recipient further down on the waiting list who was probably also racist because, y'know, they were white.

You know more often than not organ donors and recipients are pooled to match race, right? And since there are more white donors than black donors it's not likely a white person is going to get a blacks organs Just sayin'. Doesn't mean your point is inherently invalid, especially if this kid got a Caucasian heart, just food for thought.

Having an attitude problem and getting poor grades were part of the criteria officials considered when deciding to take him off the donor list. That is bullshit. He was fifteen years old when that happened.

ON THE OTHER HAND:

This kid was also non-compliant with his drs orders and also missed appts. Those are the only considerations they should have made while deciding about his eligibility for the heart or not. People can change their attitude. Also, why didn't his parents fucking PARENT this kid, take him to the dr, give him meds. so much wtf here.
