Having an attitude problem and getting poor grades were part of the criteria officials considered when deciding to take him off the donor list. That is bullshit. He was fifteen years old when that happened.

ON THE OTHER HAND:

This kid was also non-compliant with his drs orders and also missed appts. Those are the only considerations they should have made while deciding about his eligibility for the heart or not. People can change their attitude. Also, why didn't his parents fucking PARENT this kid, take him to the dr, give him meds. so much wtf here.

The funny thing is that attitude is everything. If he's having issues and he's unrepentant, that causes a problem. Transplant followup is not just about medictation and doctor's appointments. It's a full on life style change.... diet, exercise, no risk-taking, and establishing a good support network to ensure these things happen. A good attitude goes a long way in these cases because their whole life should revolve around the translplant, which can be a drag.

He was already on house arrest and wearing an ankle monitor when he got his transplant. He did drugs, ran with thugs, and his parents couldn't control him. All signs pointed to this turning out more or less the way it did. But since we're all about protesting for causes without understanding all the facts, no lesson will be learned here.

He was fifteen when he was taken off the list initially. They can't put the blame solely on HIS attitude, is I guess what I'm saying. Or grades. Parents dropped the ball yet again, big time. Bottom line for me.
