I HATE hate crimes! By the way, I am 100% heterosexual, but, I had a gay brother and friends and was exposed to people whose sex I never knew in the 70's at David Bowie concerts.

Worked with a gay woman and people in the office were shocked I went to lunch with her. Hell, if people are happy, I'm happy for them.

I came back from lunch still straight. Shocking! I don't think people like Matthew Shepard and Gwen Araujo deserved to die the heinous deaths they did because of their sexual orientation. They are two of the more famous sex hate crimes.

I went to QFest a couple of years ago to see a movie about Candy Darling, which was great! I never knew she was born a man. I also didn't know the Q is for Queer.

I think all the phobes are stupid and closed minded, but, unfortunately, when they act on their stupidity, it's still hard for me to stomach in this day and age.

Their loss! I've said it before, but, they are missing out on knowing some very kind and gentle people.

I also hate crimes against babies and children! I think those are the only two subjects I go off on! If you know of any others, feel free to bring them to my attention.
