Obviously you have never been to any real hell holes..Sometimes I do believe death is better for some of those that live in such hell holes.

It is definitely possible to get to a point where death is the best, preferred and wisest option.

Yes, like for quadriplegics, maybe, or for the terminally ill in pain. Even most of those people don't commit suicide.

Anyway this boy was healthy and had a family. He had to know what death was by his age, I just think he was foolish to throw his life away. I know I wouldn't. I might if the person to be killed was someone I loved, but for a stranger, no way? I could risk my life for a stranger, like trying to save someone drowning, but that is different.

I will believe you when you choose death over life, until then, it's just talk. If death were so much better, why isn't that city a ghost town if it such a hell hole?

You say that I haven't spent time in hell hole. What does that mean? Have you? Why didn't you kill yourself if was a hellhole? I will also assume you haven't died, so you can't compare the two, by your thinking.

Almost no one, even you, would choose death over life. Life is almost always better than death. The boy was a little idiot, even if he was brave.
I have. I've spent time in Africa, Central America, Middle East and many times in Juarez, Mexico. As I have a lot of family there. Alone in the past 5 years I have traveled a half a dozen times to Juarez. So yeah I have been to some real hell holes.

I bet you have also seen in these places where an act like this would possibly make this kid a saint in some of these countries. This is one of the highest honors to be bestowed upon Catholics.

Re: Gang Members Throw 12-year-old Boy Off Bridge After He Refused to Kill Bus Driv

That's true but he is nothing now. Who would envy him his position?
I get what you're saying, but he did the right thing even if it cost him his life. Hats off to him. His parents are surely heart broken but can be very proud of the great man he was becoming; which he wouldn't have become had he opted to kill another innocent person in order to save his own skin. We need more people like him in this world.
