Re: Gambian Migrant Accused of Murdering American Nanny in Vienna
This is why there needs to be some standards in journalism... or at least an obvious disclaimer on tabloids that pose as news outlets. I've found nothing that suggests this woman knew anything about his past other than he faced deportation. In fact, all interviews made it clear she had no idea. Every story that names the suspect quotes from one source- Kronen Zeitung, and even Fox labels them as a tabloid. Reading Kronen comes with a language barrier. Professor Google's translation doesn't show who named him as Abdou I, nor were any links given to an official statement from Law Enforcement. It doesn't mean it isn't true, but you couldn't even turn that in as an assignment in school without being hammered for not providing quotes and citations. Whether true or not, whether she was naive, ignorant, or just plain dumb... nobody deserves to be raped or murdered. EVER. To say that is equivalent to claiming that there's a circumstance in which your own mother, wife, sister, or daughter would "deserve" the same. Never. Ever. |

Re: Gambian Migrant Accused of Murdering American Nanny in Vienna
Right now, the migrant crisis sells a LOT of papers. That's why the FIRST thing I always do is check the source....... Just a simple google search....... And if a shitty tabloid comes up, with a history of making up outlandish bullshit to sell papers, then it tells me two things......... 1- the paper is garbage, or 2- the person throwing the link up didn't check, or can't even distinguish. So yeah, if your "source" had headlines last week about Russian fishermen catching and then eating an alien they caught......... |
