Funeral services for two siblings who died early Sunday morning — one by suicide, the other in a car accident — will be jointly held on Saturday.

Ricky Tucker, 20, was killed in a car crash as he rushed to the hospital to check on his sister, Brenda Tucker, 21, who shot herself in the neck at the Texas Bar & Grill on Detroit’s east side where she worked. Family members said she had suffered from depression for years.

“It will be one for both,” their sister Amandajo Holman said of the funeral. “They will be in the same room, and they will be together.”

Visitation for the siblings, who are both from Eastpointe, will be held Friday from 2-9 p.m. at the Chas. Verheyden Funeral Home at 16300 Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe Park. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the funeral home, but the time had not been finalized Tuesday afternoon.

Their mother Rose Tucker told the Free Press on Monday that she planned to have Ricky and Brenda Tucker cremated together.

The family has started a site to raise money to help with funeral costs. Donations can be made at www.youcaring.com/brendarickytucker. As of Tuesday afternoon, more than $2,000 had been raised.

“Our spirits are lifting with the donations and the support that complete strangers are giving us,” Holman said. “I don’t know how I will ever be able to repay them or tell them ‘thank you’ for their support.”

The siblings’ death followed another family tragedy six months earlier. In April, Ricky Tucker fatally shot James Hickey, who had lived with the family for 18 years and was Rose Tucker’s fiancé.

Hickey was attacking Tucker’s mother, went outside, fired a shot at Ricky Tucker and missed, a spokeswoman with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said. Tucker returned fire, and Hickey died.

The Prosecutor’s Office ruled that Ricky Tucker acted in lawful self-defense, and no charges were filed.

WTF! This is just awful! I lost my only sibling recently just after he returned from Iraq in a accident and that destroyed us, literally. Sometimes im not even sure we will survive living with the anguish we feel. I cannot imagine surviving through that.

I'm sorry for your loss. I have four siblings and I think I would be devastated if I lost any one of them.

It is

I lost my father and all three of my brothers in a five year period.

Don't know how my mother survived. I miss them terribly, but, losing a child has got to be the worst
