Forest Protection Officer Attacked by Bear

Forest Protection Officer, Kumar was severely injured in a bear attack.

This incident has taken place at Velugodu Reservoir on Friday morning. According to information, Kumar was assigned duty at Velvodu Reservoir by his higher authorities.

While Kumar is on duty a bear from nowhere appeared and pounced on the officer and injured him brutally.

However, Kumar managed escape and reached his camp office at Velugodu.

The staff present in the office immediately became alert and rushed Kumar to Kurnool General hospital for medical treatment.

Later the staff taking the aid of locals conducted search operations in the nearby area to catch the bear. Fortunately the bear has been detected in the Reservoir waters.

The forest officials and the locals however managed and captivated the bear. Later the wild animal was left in the forest.
