Foreign Students Find Hidden Cameras in Apartment
Two female exchange students from Bulgaria were shocked to find the smoke detectors in their apartment were actually hidden cameras. Vanya Amokovareva, 22, and Ralitsa Dzhambazova, 23 had been renting the apartment in Florida, USA for three months. They discovered the secret cameras on Monday, and realised every move they'd made the last three months had been captured. The cameras were in every room, including the bathroom where it was trained on the shower. "This is terrible. I never expect that this thing can happen to me or my friend," Dzhambazova told US 13 News. "We just came here to spend one summer in the United States, to work here." The girls covered the camera in the bathroom aimed at the shower with tape. "The bathroom and your room, this is the private place and you make, in the bathroom you take a shower, you make everything," Samokovareva said. "This is, I'm sure that if there is a camera, this is the idea to show us somewhere naked and to show what we make in the bathroom." After making the camera discovery, the girls followed the cables from the hidden camera in their bedroom underneath the carpet to a locked wardrobe. They broke the lock and discovered the cables were feeding in to a closed circuit TV box connected to a Wi-Fi router. "Where the people watch us? What they watch?" said Dzhambazova. "Because this is your private room." According to the Hillsborough County sheriffs office: "These cameras at first glance appeared to be motion detectors for an alarm system or smoke detectors. "Detectives will attempt to determine if the system has been active." Investigators are also looking into the possibility that this isn't an isolated case. "In this case, when you have young, pretty females coming from out of the country, they're also going to look at whether or not this is a pattern that's been ongoing," Larry McKinnon from the Sheriff's office said. No suspects have been named and the man who the women had been sub-leasing the apartment from refused to comment.  · |

I heard in a lot of places it is not illegal if the cameras do not record sound... if you're in one of those places not a bad gig really... especially if you can sell membership or views on an internet porn site |
