Firefighters Discover Two Burned Bodies Near Queens Park
http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/...icle-1.1280672 The bound, gagged and burned bodies of two men were found early Wednesday by firefighters responding to a blaze off the Belt Parkway in Queens. The grisly discovery was made about 4:25 a.m. in Howard Beach after the fire was extinguished in the tall weeds behind a row of nearby homes, cops said. Authorities identified the victims as Rudy Superville, 22, and Gary Lopez, 25, both of Brooklyn. “My guess is that they weren’t there very long because the fire was started, apparently, to cover up the crime,” said Queen District Attorney Richard Brown. A homicide investigation was under way, with one resident suggesting the bodies were tossed and then torched in the undeveloped stretch off the parkway. “It looks like (the killer) dumped them off and lit them up,” said Michael Silver, 42, who awoke about 4 a.m. to see the flames. “We are used to fires here. This is just an added twist.” <iframe src='http://widget.newsinc.com/single.html?WID=1&VID=24552353&freewheel=69016&sit esection=nydailynews_nws_loc_sty_pp&w=635&h=357' height='357' width='635' scrolling='no' frameborder='0' marginwidth='0' marginheight='0'></iframe> |
