The Americans have greater, almost unfettered rights to free speech. The Westboro mob wouldn't be allowed to demonstrate in the UK because our police would use laws pertaining to incitement, discrimination and the old favourite; breach of the peace.

That's because you Brits really don't have freedom of speech. There are too many rules that go along with it which defeats the whole purpose. If these Westboro fuckers wanna protest this funeral so be it. (I don't agree but they have the right) You can see how we counteracted it!!! Praise the men in uniform. If you Brits want the government to control everything so be it! Hell there must be a lot of fraud over there because i tried ordering something from Britain and my bank shut the transaction down on my behalf. They said there is so much fraudulent activity with credit cards in the UK that they will never let me open a transaction though their bank. Since your govt has so much control why aren't they doing anything about this problem.
