I saw one of these fly over on the Fourth of July in the Seventies. It was great because we were all looking up at the sky waiting for the fireworks to begin. It lit up the sky like day and then exploded with a huge, bloody bang. We were in Visalia, and the fragments landed in Avenal, about 50 miles away, so it was very close to the ground when we saw it. It was a once in a lifetime kind of thing.
