Mexican officials are on the hunt for a female assassin who took out five young men at a wedding anniversary party in Veracruz.

The shooting took place on Monday evening, when the woman and her male comrades pulled up to a street party on motorcycles.

Identifying her targets, the female gunman silently set about her work, opening fire and slaughtering five of the party-goers with quick efficiency. Two others were wounded in the assault.

While authorities were called and dispatched within minutes, the dust had already settled on the scene and the hitmen were nowhere to be found.

Not exactly an ideal vacation spot, Veracruz is a state infested with cartels and the frequent scene to inter-syndicate violence.

According to the Daily Mail, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and Los Zetas are the two dominant gangs in the area, with the latter being created after Mexican special operations troops formed their own crime syndicate.

The cartels in Mexico are often ruthless, committing to killings on such a large scale that even a single attack has the potential to rack up massive casualties.

This is the horrifying moment a female commando is filmed gunning down five young men at a wedding anniversary party for one of the victims in Mexico.

The execution took place on Guadalupe Victoria Street in the neighborhood of Insurgentes Sur in Minatitlan, Veracruz on Monday evening around 6pm.

The identities of the perpetrator and victims have not yet been released and the assassin disappeared after the killings.

An anonymous military source said that the shooting had taken place at a party for the wedding anniversary of one of the victims, according to El Universal.

The assassin is seen in the footage pulling up next to group on her motorbike and without a word abruptly opens fire.

Wayward bullets struck another two individuals who were taken to hospital for their wounds, according to Debate.

Neighbors who heard the gunshots immediately called the Mexican Red Cross and the Public Security Secretariat.

Authorities arrived to the scene within minutes, and all of the men were pronounced dead.

The police and military were joined by the Red Cross in shutting down the murder scene, which was yards away from a school.

Further investigation is underway.

Veracruz, a state whose coastal border runs along the Gulf of Mexico, is rife with drug cartels who fight violent wars on the streets.

Jalisco New Generation Cartel and Los Zetas are the two dominant gangs in the area, known for torturing each other, beheadings and mass executions.

In 2011 police discovered two trucks full of 35 bodies parked beneath an underpass near a shopping mall, just a twenty minute drive from where this incident took place.

The authorities have discovered secret mass graves in recent years in the violent state.

Criminal gangs reached unprecedented levels of depravity under former governor Javier Duarte de Ochoa.

Duarte resigned in 2016 before fleeing to Venezuela amid outrage over corruption, including death threats to journalists.

it might not be fake buuuut.....it looked odd to me the first time through. the last shot...she fires towards the dude helping her and he doesnt react. the dude's kicks look like play kicks (the last one in particular) and the lack of blood seems off.

.....but if you guys say so, i suppose.
