TUCSON, Ariz. — A father is in trouble after his three young children were found abandoned along a Tucson road.

Police say a resident called 911 Thursday evening after she heard crying coming from her front yard. She discovered two boys and a girl, who ranged in age from 6 months old to 2 ½ years old.

The smallest child was in a car seat and a diaper bag had been left with the children.

After about two hours, the children's mother had approached officers in the area and said she was looking for her children. She told them the father was supposed to be caring for them.

Police say the father, 20-year-old Shawn Wilson-Toliver, had left the home with the children after arguing with the mother.

Wilson-Toliver is now facing three counts of child abuse.

poor babies... watched their father up and leave them. There are way too many selfish, shitty parents in the world today. It makes my heart weep.

Sadly, there is a story every day about abandoned or, "taken in the middle of the night", babies. To me, they're all babies, not matter what their ages.

I've said it alot, but, there is birth control and adoption for all the women who cannot have children for whatever reason, and would treasure these babies. Very sad!
