I haven't really kept up with this over the past few days, but I thought by now we would have gotten "final word" from her family on her "death."
I'm really thinking her body is in a serious state of decay, too. There's only so much the ventilator can do.

There has to be family against this but they probably dont want to cause any family turmoil, especially since the mom is upset. Thats my guess on it.

You'd hope so, but after reading the post about how the entire family acted even after her surgery in the PICU, I don't know. I'm not even sure the grandmother gets it and she's an LVN.

Does anyone know if the family can get benefits off of her anymore? I know the corner issued a death certificate, but they are trying to convince the world and possibly the government that she's still alive. I'm not trying to be an asshole when I say this, but you know the family was on some kind of assistance if the only job was the mom at Home Depot.

If I were the mom I'd feel some deep regret in giving my child the BigMac after surgery (I'm one of those bide by the rules fools, so I never would have strayed from protocol), but it seems like she's still 110% blaming the hospital. Every article I read - even going back a week or two, the family is blaming all of this on the hospital. Thank whoever runs the universe for the families in the PICU at the same time for speaking out.

I saw this on the Allnurses forum....Jahi's uncle at the game this weekend with their Attorney. Everyone was questioning where he got the money to attend this particular game.
