Re: Facebook Lifts Ban On Beheading Videos
Personally, I think we need to see graphic violence and uncensored news, especially in the US. I think some kids with guns are ignorant to what they can really do to a person. We need youtube to follow suit now. I went to look at a medical video, (I forget which medical condition), and it was removed due to graphic content |

Re: Facebook Lifts Ban On Beheading Videos
So the obvious question is: does anyone have a link to the video on the site showing a masked man killing the woman in Mexico?

Re: Facebook Lifts Ban On Beheading Videos
Are you kidding me? Seriously? People get ideas from this shit. Here is an easy example. Look at how pornography influences children and young adults. To say it would never change a persons perspective on things for the worse is ignorance. Promoting the worst traits of violence to the general population is never a good idea. You have real people doing real things as a result from this. Jihad videos showing this gets under the skin of young muslims who get a fucking boner for it. You can see them wanting to do it if you piss them off in their enclaves here in the UK. And then you have the glorious Mexigore. Want to show people the most efficient ways of grabbing, hog tying and slicing up men women and children? Think before acting. |

Re: Facebook Lifts Ban On Beheading Videos
This actually a great move by facebook. It allows people to face reality head on, much like we do here on DR. But unfortunately I don't see it lasting long with all the parents who don't know how to be a parent and control what their kids look at.

Re: Facebook Lifts Ban On Beheading Videos
Facebook had a change of heart Facebook flip-flop: Social media giant bows to pressure as it removes graphic video showing woman being beheaded in Mexico Facebook has removed a video of a woman being beheaded following the huge public outcry that was sparked by their lifting of a ban on gory imagery on Monday. The abrupt abrupt flip-flop came a day after a public outcry over news reports that Facebook, the world's No. 1 social network with 1.15 billion members, had lifted a temporary ban on images of graphic violence. Facebook said on Monday that gory videos, such as a video of a masked man beheading a woman in Mexico, are permitted on its site so long as the content is posted in a manner intended for its users to 'condemn' the acts rather than celebrate them. But Facebook said on Tuesday that it had decided to 'strengthen' its enforcement of the policy. 'When we review content that is reported to us, we will take a more holistic look at the context surrounding a violent image or video,' Facebook said in a statement. 'Second, we will consider whether the person posting the content is sharing it responsibly, such as accompanying the video or image with a warning and sharing it with an age-appropriate audience,' Facebook said. The flip-flop underscores a challenge for Facebook as it seeks to position itself as the go-to online destination where people share up-to-the-minute images and discuss breaking news events. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...c-content.html |

Re: Facebook Lifts Ban On Beheading Videos
shoelessjojackson Check here! I'm tired. Not sure if it's there, but, I saw a couple of heads. I do know there is a woman on here being beheaded, but, I don't recall whether or not he was wearing a mask. Did you try a search? Beheaded women aren't as common as men. http://www.centuryfive.net/tag/woman...a_close_button |
