Dramatic footage captures flames ravage a tower block in Paris after an explosion rocked the city.
Residents fled flats in Boulevard Macdonald near the Gare du Nord Eurostar hub in Paris tonight in fear.
Despite the ferocity of the blaze, authorities stress there are no serious injuries.
Gabriel Plus, a spokesman for the Paris fire brigade, said there was "no gas supply into the building", but that "bottles of gas or a barbeque may have caught fire on a balcony, causing the explosion."
Shocking footage shows the flames tear through the modern block of flats.
It's thought 27 flats were damaged.
More than 50 firefighters battled it at around 9.30pm (local time).
