Re: Expectant Parents of Anencephalic Baby's Bucket List Response Amazes * update
I believe a boy and girl survived to 5 or 6, supposedly with no brain, but, their scalps were closed. They were severely disabled. I want to see photos of the 2 year old anencephalic baby. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anencephaly Although, Shane has a strong heartbeat, he could still be stillborn. X-ray of a stillborn anencephalic baby. Looks touched up to me. |

Re: Expectant Parents of Anencephalic Baby's Bucket List Response Amazes * update
I won't get too deep into my pregnancy, but I spent seven months in the hospital with a plethora of problems. At 5 and a half mos they told me she had a brain tumor. I felt they were full of dookie and they were, but my husband was wracked with what the hell do you do? He felt that it would be more painful and selfish to allow her to be born. I think had we known at 3 mos that survival was 0%, I would have aborted. I don't like that they are registered for gifts, having a baby shower, and basically pretending the inevitable isn't going to happen. I forget who said it, but you were right in saying they're hoping that somehow the docs are wrong and he will beat all odds and survive. I don't think they'd reuse all the gifts they're getting on a possible baby in the future. Kinda morbid. Instead of sending them gifts why not donate the money to an organization studying the defect? Seems like that would be more beneficial. |

Thank you for sharing, K9Grip. XX Donating would be a great idea. The husband was on fb before the pregnancy, but, I could not find the wife until they set up the page about the pregnancy. It was I who said they are hoping for a miracle. There is a country singer, whom I had in my avatar with me a few weeks ago, Joe Nichols, who is a sweetheart. (If I think it's good, I listen to it.) His wife, Heather, went through 5 miscarriages before a doctor finally realized her body was rejecting them due to an auto immune deficiency. She went through shots and bed rest and bruising and had their first daughter together on April 17, 2012. She referred to them all as babies, no matter how far along they were. Joe has a 15 year old daughter so he was not the problem. Somehow, I missed that they had a second daughter on May 20, 2014. I told him I was so happy for him and his family so I guess he figured I knew. :) While standing with him with an arm around each other waiting for my stupid digital camera, which I hate, he started dancing, so we had a little bumping going on. This is Heather's blog only about the first baby, the last I checked it. www.morethananicholsworth.com |

He's been born and is apparently doing well, as is the mum. How is this baby supposed to survive? They don't survive do they?

I think I wouod have terminated it, seeing as they found out very early. The third month is not very far. I don't like how people use something like this to get gifts and donations and fame. It's all about them. Babies R Us? Really? I think that's fucked up honestly.
