Ex Westboro Baptist Church Leader Dying
Fred Phelps, the one-time leader of the infamous "GOD HATES ****" church, is on his deathbed in Kansas. Hopefully, you can carry on with your day having learned of this terrible news. Phelps' son Nathan, who left the church in 1980 and now lives in Canada working on behalf of LGBT rights, posted on Facebook late last night that his father is dying in a hospice in Topeka. I've learned that my father, Fred Phelps, Sr., pastor of the "God Hates ****" Westboro Baptist Church, was ex-communicated from the "church" back in August of 2013. He is now on the edge of death at Midland Hospice house in Topeka, Kansas. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Terribly ironic that his devotion to his god ends this way. Destroyed by the monster he made. I feel sad for all the hurt he's caused so many. I feel sad for those who will lose the grandfather and father they loved. And I'm bitterly angry that my family is blocking the family members who left from seeing him, and saying their good-byes. The legacy Phelps will leave is of having turned his religion into a sideshow, and of having made the notion of the protest a farce. We may never know the extent to which Phelps realized that his church moved the "cause" backwards, or whether he even gave a shit. But we know that above all the Westboro Baptist Church loved attention, and now its ex-leader will die quietly as the world spins uninterrupted.  · |

Motherfucker. Old age got to him before I could. Hopefully Shirley Phelps-Roper will live long enough for me to put a bullet through her head. I don't know if she'll live long enough for me to put several bullets through her head, but I refuse to skimp on the ammo despite such technicalities. |

Fuck picketing. The Westboros deserve a much more personal and permanent touch. Ever since Shirley Phelps-Roper stopped just short -- for legal reasons, of course -- of calling for more mass shootings in the days following the Aurora Theatre massacre, I've been wanting a gunman -- or several -- to storm the Westboro Baptist Church during full occupancy and lay waste to every single one of those assholes. It would be poetic justice. |

The Pagans would have duck and covered the minute the shots started popping off. No one with a brain would risk their life to save a Westboro Baptist. What I find really hilarious about Fred Phelps is that he's not even really the church's founder. The church he was a part of beforehand built the Westboro Baptist Church, and Fred just stole a section of their congregation and appropriated the church for himself. |

I never knew that! But then I usually avoid the westboro baptist church topics. I get way too irritated with the members to keep calm. You should look up "brick stone" on YouTube. It's a guy that follows members when they protest and he asks them questions but its always really funny and he makes them look like idiots (not that they aren't good at making themselves look like idiots but its still funny as hell). There was one video where he was trying to talk to the one lady but got interrupted because a car ran her over its even better when he brings out the dildo microphone
