Ever Wonder Why There Are So Many Deaths in 3rd World Countries.
Massive flooding in Manila this week, so the locals find a safe and convenient way to keep dry when going to work:  I never took that pic, but I took this one in my home town, a few miles from Manila. And yes, there are power lines in with that mess of wires:  |

I try to carry a camera whenever I go out, just waiting for some decent DR material, but it never seems to happen.  I see this sort of shit all the time, and I've taken to stalking families of four or five on motorcycles, waiting until something, er, 'good' happens....  |

You would think at some point it would be cheaper to have underground power.. I bet it's pretty easy to throw an old pair of shoes on power lines there. |
