I can't. She was acting like a child, was non-compliant about a simple request and unfortunately ended up with her face in the sand. I did think they were excessive, and responded poorly by being physical, but I'm not surprised. Judging by her behavior (and the fake as hell write up about her being victimized) she is used to manipulating and getting her way. |

A determined and skilled perp can prevent a force submission/handcuffing for a length of time that is unfathomable to the inexperienced. Basically, the perp uses the number of officers against them. The 'too many cooks...' factor. The perp can often use his own version of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and/or judo in a sort of 'greased pig' resistance. Also, while the perp is struggling, the cops attention can easily become myopically focused on the struggle and lose Situational Awareness. This is dangerous as the cops can become vulnerable to attack from other bad actors and/or the perp may suddenly present a weapon that was previously hidden. It has often happened that a difficult-to-subdue perp has resulted in an officer or officers ending their shift on a morgue slab. Even a 100 lb. crazy b*tch woman can give a 225 lb. cop an ice pick to the heart if given an opening. |
