A single officer would have to pin a knee into the upper back and apply weight to it, while manipulating and leverage with an arm. A struggling perp on booze or drugs can still resist without feeling any of the discomforts resisting should contribute. Generally this is how many people get hurt or killed. 2 or more can apply pressure more divided to the perp's body mass, preventing even more struggling ability, with less discomforts. |
