Dumbass Should Have Removed His IV
A taxi cab driver was robbed Sunday by a hospital patient who still had an IV in his arm, police said. Police said they arrested 33-year-old Jamal Duperon of New Orleans on charges of simple robbery, resisting an officer by flight and simple battery. Slidell police said they got a 911 call around 10 a.m. Sunday from a cab driver saying he had been robbed by a man with an IV in his arm. The thief reached over the driver, shoved him and took $100 in cash stuffed in the sun visor of the cab, police said. The thief then jumped out of the cab and ran down Gause Boulevard. As police arrived at the scene, an officer spotted someone at a nearby gas station who fit the cab driver's description. He fled, and police chased him, eventually using a Taser to subdue him, police said. The man was identified as Duperon, and he was arrested. Police later learned that Duperon had been a patient at Slidell Memorial Hospital, and he got into a disagreement with the staff. He left the hospital without being medically discharged, which is why he still had an IV |
