Unfortunately it's all about money. The rich Muslim society will always bring compromises to greedy individuals but if you look at the tradeoff (France) you will see a problem over their ability to handle and in England it is even worse. Base your world on ethics not religion.

The new mosque near my house got permission to blast out the old al-qaida tunes on a friday. It just used to be on fridays for the first year.
Now it's a regular thing 4-5 days a week, it's loud, and it lasts for hours at a time.
It sounds awful, and it is completely irrational.

So the mighty $ has spoken...good, if they had gone ahead with it then other religions had the right to follow there's to the letter and hilarity would have ensued.
