I guess this is what years of selective breeding begets... a animal so loyal by instinct and nature that it will honor its closest companion regardless of species till death. Awesome.

Thats damn sad and quite a psychological mind melt. That kind of trauma makes you stop dead in your tracks next time somethings in danger and relive that moment over again. Life is a cruel bitch and we all feel her wrath at some point.
