Re: 'Django Unchained' Actress Mistaken for Prostitute, Accosted by LAPD
Police - "Excuse me ma'am, someone thinks you're a whore. They called us and after seeing you, we think you may be a whore as well. Now show us your papers."

Screw that.... If a cop asks me for ID, I'll show him my license. That's a situation where "no" is NOT an acceptable answer |

Re: 'Django Unchained' Actress Mistaken for Prostitute, Accosted by LAPD
This incident has absolutely nothing to do with a Terry Stop...nice try though. Her refusal to cooperate, odd behavior, and then walking away from officers led to her being handcuffed, questioned, and detained. It was her odd/suspicious behavior that lead to her being handcuffed. She acted like a complete fool and from an officer's standpoint, very suspicious. How were the officers to know that she didn't have active warrants or worse? There is absolutely no issue in this case, based on her behavior and the type of call/incident, of any illegal detainment or excessive use of force by officers. She brought all this on herself...because she's an asshole. This happens all day long and is fairly common...if she hadn't brought it up, no one would have been the wiser. But do recognize that by acting like a whore, dressing like a whore, and storming off like a whore...cops are naturally going to think you're a whore. In this case a fame whore. |

Someone called the cops. For them not to investigate the situation, would be irresponsible. There's a loophole in the "don't have to show I.d. Rule" You act suspicious and you DO have to show your I.D. I have no problem with that. There's no reason to get hostile and bitchy. Just show your damn card and be done with it. |

Re: 'Django Unchained' Actress Mistaken for Prostitute, Accosted by LAPD
Well said...that's actually fairly accurate. I'm not sure that I wouldn't have used a better word than whore. Remember technically speaking, a "whore" is someone who gives away sex for free...a prostitute is someone who charges for sex. Other than that, your comment is well said and pretty much what would have been said to the asshole at hand. Officers were just doing their duty by responding to a call...it's their job to investigate and determine if a crime has been committed. That's exactly what they were doing until little miss surly got her knickers in a wad and decided to cause trouble. If she had just done what she was told to do...nothing would have happened. This is all her fault...she should have cooperated and gone on with her day. Now she's going to cause those officers all sorts of stress and cost the tax payers a great deal of money to investigate a non issue. If those officers are found to have done nothing wrong, then she should be forced to pay for the investigation.

Technically speaking the word whore can be used to describe a prostitute, promiscuous person, or person of loose moral values. The suspected origin of the word is as confusing as the languages that spawned it.

Whore is the same as a prostitute. Slut is the one giving it away to many, for free. |
