That dog was waiting a loooooong time for that opportunity. The minute she fell on that floor, she effectively entered his territory and became no different than that piece of food over which it had bitten her nephew.

I was attacked by my neighbor's bull mastif - this dog knew me from the time it was born. I was getting the mail and talking to my neighbor. I went to pet him like I had done a thousand times before and he lunged at my face. He latched on under my eye with his top teeth and my neck with the lower teeth...he took one big bite. He was on a leash and my neighbor got him off of me but it was awful. I went into shock, blood was everywhere -
It turns out when I went to pet him, his spiked collar twisted and that pain startled him, thus attacking me. This dogs head was bigger than mine, so I was very fortunate my neighbor was able to pull him off. 8 years later and I'm still terrified of big dogs - never was before that.

When our K-9 bit me and really messed my hand up I had a fear. I also had another dog bite my nose once but I was not too scared after that. But the K-9 really did me in. I still have dogs though. Little dogs
