Creature with Horse Face, Body of a Pig & the Claws of a Bear Washed Up Dead on Beach

A strange creature with "the face of a horse, the body of a pig and the claws of a bear" has washed up dead on a beach.

The mysterious mutant has revived memories of the infamous "Montauk monster" that was discovered in 2008 on the US east coast.

The hairless carcass was discovered on the sand in Tenby, South Wales by beachcomber Peter Bailey.

The 27-year-old took photos of the animal and passed them to council chiefs.

A spokesman later claimed the bloated body was that of a Jack Russell terrier.

But Peter insists the metre-long "monster" was far too big to be a dog.

He said: "It was a disgusting-looking thing. My first impression was that it had the face of a horse, the claws of a bear and the body of a pig.

"It was obviously decomposing and it had lost most of its hair."

Pictures of the creature were shown to Dr Dan Forman, from Swansea University's College of Science, who has his own theory about the identity of the Beast of Tenby.

Dr Forman said: "It is difficult to say from the picture, but judging by its size and the fact it has five toes, it could be a badger."
