There is no way this is right. When someone makes a beheading video, the intent is not to recruit anyone or desensitize people. Isn't watching someones head get cut off horrifying? When a Mexican cartel beheads an opposing cartel member and films it, that doesnt make the people throw their support behind them, its to scare the shit out of everyone.

Besides, whether its for political reasons or for business reasons, someones head is still being cut off on tape. Why is it any less offensive when its just business? What the fuck are you talking about?

i disagree. i think the more beheadings we see the more we desensitize to it and the less power it has over us. Filmed beheadings are used for their power to shock. We are the target audience not up and coming jihadists. So acceptable is the wrong word. I have seen dozens and now enjoy to watch them when i eat my lunch, but they still remain grossly offensive by the nature of their subject matter, regardless as to how insensitive I now have become to the gore.
