Cops Beat Driver in Diabetic Shock
http://www.lvrj.com/multimedia/Diabe...138896774.html A video showing police officers kicking and kneeing a man in diabetic shock was released Tuesday, the same day a six-figure settlement in the case was expected to be approved by the Henderson City Council. Henderson officers and Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were involved in the early morning incident on Oct. 29, 2010, which was captured by an NHP vehicle camera at Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway. In the police dashboard camera video, obtained by the Review-Journal on Tuesday, Adam Greene was mistaken for a drunken driver during a 4 a.m. traffic stop. The video showed Greene being pulled from the car at gunpoint, kicked in the face and kneed in the ribs by officers as he lay unresponsive on the pavement. "Stop resisting mother (expletive)!" one officer yells at Greene, who doesn't move as six officers swarm him. At one point, Greene begins to scream in pain. Lawyers for Greene said settlement agreements have been reached with both agencies. The Henderson City Council on Tuesday will consider a $158,500 payout during its regular meeting. Greene's lawyers said his wife will receive $99,000 from Henderson. Greene will receive an additional $35,000 from the state for a total of $292,500. According to the lawsuit, officers eventually realized that Greene, who had been driving to work, was having a medical episode. "Call in medical," one officer says in the video. "We found some insulin in his pocket. ... He's semiconscious." "Let's get medical out here. He's a diabetic, he's probably in shock," the officer later tells dispatch. The lawsuit said officers then forced a handcuffed Greene to stand in front of a patrol car and blow into a Breathalyzer, despite being injured. Paramedics later arrived and treated him for low blood sugar. After he was released without a citation, the lawsuit said, officers apologized to Greene for "beating him up." Greene then went to a hospital, where he was diagnosed with fractured ribs and bruises to his hands, neck, face and scalp. None of the officers were named in the lawsuit, and authorities have not released their names. It appeared that a highway patrolman was the officer to pull Greene from the car, but that a Henderson officer was the one who kicked him in the face. It is unknown whether any of the involved officers was disciplined for the incident. |

Re: Cops Beat Driver in Diabetic Shock
So wouldn't the guy have taken those mother fuckers to court even if he WAS drunk, how did Mr fucking heroic cop think it was necessary to boot him in the face and ribs when he was already subdued, if that were to happen in here England the guilty parties would be named shamed and thrown in jail where they belong, it's cunts like these that fuck it up for all the good cops out there.

Re: Cops Beat Driver in Diabetic Shock
What a bunch of cunts, and they wonder why there is a growing number amongst the population that are willing to shoot police? In the video i saw 2 that should be fired and charged, the rest should be given a written warning that shows on their files too. There was no reason for this type of behaviour at all, the police are there to PROTECT and SERVE.
