Re: Cop Stops 70 Year Old Man For Expired Tags, Then Shoots Him
Yeah and also it's worth remembering they were on the side of a street and he was elderly. The old guy probably didn't hear anything he said at all. The only reason we can hear it well on the video is because the cop was close to his car and the camera mic.

I feel horrible for the cop actually. He thought it was a shotgun and it was clearly an honest mistake. The cop can't take chances and risk his own life in hopes that the suspect is not gonna shoot. If I were a cop, I would have shot too. Anyone that says different is either a liar or would wind up dead. |

How you can feel horrible for the cop and not the poor bastard that got shot is beyond me. The poor guy had no idea he was about the gunned down. As far as the cop goes, if he wants sympathy he can find it in the dictionary somewhere between shit and syphilis. |

Re: Cop Stops 70 Year Old Man For Expired Tags, Then Shoots Him
That makes perfect sense. We all know that once a law against something is passed, everyone abides by it without exception; and that's why there's no such thing as criminals. Cops conducting traffic stops want the motorist to stay in the car for the same reason that my pop didn't want me or his wife to get in the car when we were leaving my aunt's house and a very suspicious vehicle pulled up next to the car parked just behind ours: because people in cars are sitting ducks. They have no room to maneuver, minimal cover, and they have to turn their attention away from the officer in the event that they attempt any sort of escape. Anyone who tells you that a car is a safe place from which to initiate a gunfight is wrong. Using a firearm to defend yourself against someone who is shooting at you from the "safety" of their vehicle's interior is just slightly harder than shooting cats off of grandmaw's sofa. |

Re: Cop Stops 70 Year Old Man For Expired Tags, Then Shoots Him
I never once said I didn't feel bad for the old man. The officer told him to drop it and the old man did not reply. I feel for the cop because he honestly thought it was a gun and did what he was trained to do. You're obviously biased and no matter the situation, you hate on cops. The old man should have complied and didn't;end of story.
