Re: Convicted Sex Offender Wins $3 Million Lottery * update
Alleged Victims Sue Convicted Sex Offender Who Won $3 Million in Florida Lottery By Katherine Cavazini hln.com January 21, 2015 Two alleged victims of convicted sex-offender-turned-lottery-winner, Timothy Poole, are suing the Florida man after his $3 million win who claim he owes them money for their pain, suffering and psychological damages. His victims want their share. The convicted sex offender who won $3 million in Florida’s Super Millions scratch off lottery is being sued by two of his alleged victims. The two brothers said they were 5 and 9 years old when Timothy Poole assaulted them in 1996. The unidentified men filed the lawsuit for psychological damages, WPTV reported. Poole was arrested in 2001 for molesting a different 9 year old boy in 1999. Poole denied the allegations at first and went to jail for 13 months. He later took a plea bargain, which freed him but put him on sex offender probation for 10 years. Poole was arrested in 2001 for molesting a 9 year old boy two years earlier. The 43 year old made headlines last month when his $20 scratch off ticket won him $3 million. He took home a one time, lump sum payment of $2,219,807.90. Lawyers for the two brothers said they are only after monetary damages. "We are not attempting to get him any additional prison time," Mark NeJame said. "He has served his time to society, but, he has not served his dues for the alleged massive damage caused to these children." Poole, a taxi driver, has 20 days to respond to the suit. |
