Co. Man Charged with Rape of 6 Year Old Child, and Streaming Act Over Internet
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – Police in Cumberland County charge a North Middleton Township man, William C. Byers Augusta, 18, with rape a 6 year old child and distributing the alleged sex act on the internet. On Thursday, July 23, federal authorities in Canada became aware of the video streaming on the internet. Homeland Security tracked the source of the video to Augusta’s home computer in the 200 block of Regal View Drive. North Middleton Township Police were contacted and a search warrant was executed at the address. Police identified the victim, took Augusta into custody and seized a laptop from a bedroom. They also found other items in the bedroom that matched those seen in the video. Charges against Augusta include Rape of a Child, Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse of a Child, Aggravated indecent assault of a child, Corruption of Minors, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Creating Child Pornography, Creating Child Pornography, Dissemination of Child Pornography, Possessing Child Pornography, Incest with a Minor, and Criminal Use of Communication Facility. Augusta is currently at the Cumberland County Prison held in lieu of $150,000 bail. He faces a preliminary hearing early next month. http://fox43.com/2015/07/24/cumberla...over-internet/  · |
